1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove of garlic, minced
4 cups shredded red cabbage
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablesoon white sugar
1/2 cup water
- Warm the oil in a large skillet, add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the cabbage, balsamic vinegar, white sugar and water. Cover with a lid and allow to simmer for 10 minutes or until the sauce it thickened. The cabbage will still have a pretty good bite at this point, but that is how we like it. If you wish to have your cabbage softer, then increase your cooking time.
- Serve warm.
