Broccoli Cheese Casserole

This is a pretty traditional casserole, that my mom used to make.  I am not 100% sure where the recipe came from.  If I had to guess I would say, from Campbell's Soup or from French's fried onion.  Regardless, it is a real crowd pleaser.  And it uses 2-4 hard boiled eggs, which makes it perfect for after Easter!

1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
1  can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2-4 hard boiled eggs, chopped
1-2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) can French's Fried Onions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cook the broccoli according to package instructions, drain and set aside.  In a small bowl, combine the soup, onion powder, and mustard.
  3. In a 2 quart casserole, layer one half of the broccoli, top with 1/2 the chopped egg, half of the cheese, and half of the mushroom soup mixture.  Repeat the layers.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, sprinkle with the onions and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
