Cheese Toast and Grits

This is classic Southern comfort food. This is what I eat when I sick, sad or both.
Cheese Toast
4 slices of cheedar cheese, slices are cut from the narrow end of a standard block of cheese or you can use shreadded cheese. It does not matter as long as you have enough to evenly cover your bread.
2 slices to whole wheat bread (use white if you like)
Grits
3/4 cup of milk
3/4 cup of water
1/8 teaspoon of salt
6 tablespoons Quick Cook Grits
  1. Preheat you oven to 350°. Place your bread onto a cookie sheet and add two slices of cheese to each slice of bread. Cook in oven until cheese is melted, and bread is nicely toasted, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Bring the milk, water and salt to a boil in a medium sauce pan; slowly stir in your grits.
  3. Cover the pan, and reduce the heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 6 minutes.
