Foodbuzz Festival, Part 1

My swag bag and super cool name tag

The weekend before last I attended the 3rd Annual Foodbuzz Blogging Festival.  I am fortunate that this conference is held in San Francisco and even luckier that I live a short train ride from San Francisco.  So off I went to the big city to eat some good food, meet some cool people and learn some stuff.
The Grand Hyatt
I checked in my hotel, The Grand Hyatt and honestly all I did was enjoy the solitude of my big room.
Don't get me wrong. I love my kids, but quiet is a nice thing.  I should have taken a picture of the room of the view of the UGG store next door, but I neglected to do so.  You'll just have to take me at my word that the accommodations were nice.  And boy that UGG store sure was nice to look at as I slowly lowered the power blinds in the room, never to open them again for the rest of my stay.

Sabra Hummus Hors d'oeuvres @ the Terra Gallery

The first night there was a cocktail reception, followed by another cocktail reception, an Foodbuzz Blogger Awards ceremony, and dessert. The food was lovely, the alcohol was FREE and the people were great fun.  But I have no major complaint.  If you want people to listen to an awards ceremony, you need to give them a place to sit and actively encourage them to shut up.  This did not happen and as a result I have NO idea who won anything.  The petulant selfish part of personality (or the dominate part some would say) really does not care as I was not nominated, but still it would have been nice to hear something.  There are some more photos below of some of the delicious food and cocktails served that evening.

  1. Oh, I know how you feel. That EMPTY hotel room was complete and utter bliss!
