1/4 cup walnut pieces
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon all spice
Spring Salad mix4 ounces blue cheese
2 ripe pears
balsamic vinaigrette dressing
- Add the walnuts, honey, brown sugar, and allspice together into a microwave safe dish and microwave until the walnuts are fully coated in a honey sugar mixture. This should take about 30 second to 1 minutes. Pour the walnuts out onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 375° and bake the walnuts until crisp, about 5 minutes.
- Toss the remaining ingredients together in a salad bowl with the walnuts and serve.
I am not going to provide the calories for this salad because I ended up using a store bought dressing and the calories will vary wildly from brand to brand when using a store bought dressing.
