Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes


2 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, cleaned
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup warm milk
salt and pepper to taste
  1. Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring water to a boil and boil the potatoes until tender, about 20 minutes
  2. Drain water from potatoes, dry out the saucepan and return the potatoes to the pot. Using a potato masher mash the potatoes, add the butter and continue to mash. Add the warm milk a 1/4 cup at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.
